Art Set Up
Here's a checklist for getting the most out of your Large format files:
• |
For best results, use professional printing & design software applications. (Adobe Creative Suite, QuarkXpress) |
• |
Build files at the final size of your graphic. If this is not possible build, at 1/2 size or at
1/4 size. Avoid going below 1/4 size. |
• |
Always build file in proportion to final size. |
• |
For best results, utilize vector programs to create spot color logos and basic type designs |
• |
Scan your images to achieve correct dpi at final size. (i.e. inkjet - 150dpi, photographic - 200dpi) cmyk for print, rgb for photographic processes. |
• |
If necessary, crop scans to include only desired image area. |
• |
If scaling scans, an even higher resolution will be required. Double the dpi for 1/2 size, and quadruple the dpi for 1/4 size to achieve the desired dpi at final size. |
• |
As always, include your fonts (screen and printer) and linked files. |
• |
Provide marked up lasers and color match requirements. |
